Call for Entry - Micro-grants for Atlanta-Based Artists from the ThirdFire Foundation

ThirdFire (3F) is pleased to announce the launch of its series of mini-grants for Georgia based artists. Our mission supports artists in Georgia to remove some of the burden as they complete projects.

ThirdFire was founded to spark opportunity for artists whose creative journeys are often shaped by small but critical needs. We believe that even a modest grant can unlock new possibilities and fuel work that resonates in our communities.

The call for entry is a quick, no fee application and award grants range from $50-$500.

Grants will be awarded monthly, with a deadline for the first grants being 11:59 PM EST on September 30th.

ThirdFire grants are aimed at artistic projects and opportunities for artists who maintain a strong connection to Georgia and are intended to fill in gaps in funding that come up unexpectedly -

  • Do you have an opportunity to show your work but need some funds to help frame your pieces?

  • Did you receive a scholarship to attend a workshop but you need help with transportation?

  • Are you working on a mural but the wall needs more primer than you thought and now you’re over budget for paint?

That's where we come in!

The application is free and all applications received by the end of the month will be reviewed in the first week of October, with selected grants notified on October 7th.

The call is open to visual artists of any media, but priority will be given to emerging artists, artists who engage with craft materials, artists who make work which is experimental, and artists who are pursuing projects that impact the artistic community of Atlanta.

Applicants should be 21+, have a strong connection to Georgia and its artistic community, and not currently enrolled in a degree-granting program.
