As we look ahead to the months ahead, we're excited to share new opportunities for artists, a first look at our upcoming Halloween dinner, and new ways to support the creative community that makes ThirdFire possible.
Applications Extended: Plates for Progress 2027
There's still time to apply! Applications for our 2027 Plates for Progress series have been extended through August 15, giving Southern artists more time to share their work and become part of one of ThirdFire's signature dining experiences.
Selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work, connect with new audiences, and become part of future ThirdFire events that celebrate creativity, storytelling, and community.

Studio Spotlight
Behind every finished piece is a studio filled with ideas, experimentation, and countless hours at the wheel. These creative spaces provide artists with the resources, mentorship, and community that transform inspiration into the work we celebrate at ThirdFire. Many of our featured artists create, teach, exhibit, and build lasting connections through these incredible organizations.
For more than two decades, MudFire Clayworks has beena cornerstone of Atlanta's ceramic community, providing classes, studio memberships, gallery exhibitions, and opportunities for artists to experiment, connect, and share their work with others.
Based at Art Center West in Roswell, the Roswell Clay Collective supports ceramic artists through workshops, exhibitions, community programming, and continued investment in one of the region's premier clay studios. It's a collaborative space where artists learn, create, and grow together.
Located in Dunwoody, Spruill Center for the Arts has been connecting people through creativity for decades by offering classes, workshops, exhibitions, and studio opportunities for artists of all experience levels. It's aplace where many ceramic artists not only begin their creative journey, but continue it.

Halloween Dinner – Spirits of the South
Every Southern town has its ghosts... and every ghost has a story.
Join us for an unforgettable evening where Southern folklore, handcrafted ceramics, storytelling, and community come together beneath the glow of candlelight inside the historic Bell Tower at Oakland Cemetery.
Featuring exclusive ceramic work by Molly O'Shaughnessy, each piece is inspired by the legends, traditions, and spirits of the South, creating an immersive dining experience unlike any other. Save the date for October 11, 2026, and stay tuned for ticket details.

The ThirdFire Collection
We're excited to share a sneak peek of something new.
Later this year, supporters will be able to purchase select pieces from past events, featured artist collections, and special archival works through the ThirdFire Collection. From collector pieces to event favorites, the collection will offer a new way to support Southern artists while bringing home a meaningful piece of the ThirdFire experience.
